Normally, according to MSNBC, it is a boy/girl coupling, but Sarah and Desiree were voted together and wanted to walk together. The school changed policy and said that court royalty could also walk with a parent or a favorite teacher. The school was told to take a permanent time out by the Southern Poverty Law Center and the National Center for Lesbian Rights.
