Train yourself. Instead of forcing yourself to wake up, train yourself to react instantly by practicing the motions of waking up. During the day, turn your lights off and practice jumping out of the bed as soon as your alarm goes off. Do this repeatedly twice a day for about 10 times until it feels automatic.

I’m so glad to be back home. Still one or two too many pets, but that’s ok. Instead of shoveling (sorry neighbors!) I deep cleaned my kitchen, and started in on my living room and bedrooms. I just needed it to feel… I don’t know, lighter… in here. My depression and anxiety feels tangible and I just want to scrub it away.
